Baghdad (AIN) –The Ministry of Health allocated IQD five billion for covering the expenses of its plan for the Arbaeen Pilgrimage all over the Iraqi provinces.
The Technical Undersecretary of the Ministry, Satar al-Sa'edy, stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) "The Council of Ministers agreed upon allocating IQD five billion for implementing the health plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage all over the provinces," noting that "500 millions were allocated for Karbala province alone to support its performance during the Arbaeen pilgrimaage."
For his part, the Head of Karbala Health Department, Ala Hmoud Budair announced that "The financial allocations arrived late at the province which resulted in confusion for the health plan implemented in the province."
In Arbaeen pilgrimage, millions of Shiite pilgrims from all over Iraq and abroad commemorate the end of 40 days after Imam Hussien's martyrdom anniversary by visiting the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein in the city of Karbala.
The Command of the Mid-Euphrates Operations deployed 31,000 elements in Karbala province to sustain security and to protect the pilgrims from the terrorist attacks during the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussien.
